The Home page is where you will go each time you log into DocMgt. You can get back to the Home page by clicking the Home logo on the toolbar. The Home page shows your current activity and work to be done including your Work Items, and more. You can also embed searches and charts on your Home page.

The last item that is shown will be the one you come back to the next time you load your Home page.

Tab Descriptions

Search

This tab shows your search forms. Any Record Types you have access to will show up in this tab. You can use the Record Type selection drop down on the top-right to select which Record Type to search in. When you select a Record Type, the fields for that particular Record Type will be displayed for you to search with. Refer to the Searching section for more information on how to search.

The Global Search is the default which searches across all record Types you have access to. It uses an "all fields" approach where it will search all fields in all Record Types for matches. This is the slowest of all searches so if you know which Record Type you are trying to search in, it is a more efficient and faster search to select that one for your search.

Once you run a Search, you will be directed to the Search Results page to see the Records that match your search.

Asset Assignments (only with Asset Tracking on)

The Asset Assignments tab shows you the assets currently assigned to you. You can use the Return Asset button to return them directly from here or click on the item in the list to open that Asset Record.

Asset Requests (only with Asset Tracking on)

The Asset Requests tab shows you the assets for which you currently have a request. You can use the Cancel Request button to cancel your request directly from here or click on the item in the list to open that Asset Record.

Workflow

The Workflow tab shows you the workflow items currently assigned to you. The top toolbar allows you to filter the workflow items that are shown. This allows you to focus on a particular process or search for a specific item to work on. If you have any workflows that use Fast Lane processing, you can also complete items directly from here individually or en mass using the check boxes. If Fast Lane is available, the workflow buttons will show up with the workflow items. When you click them it performs the same actions as from within the Record and refreshes the list. If you use the check boxes to select more than one work item from the same workflow step, the fast lane buttons will also be shown at the top of the list to allow you to perform the action on the checked items.

You can change the display format to Condensed, Full or Stacked view and can even set the display to show in a table if you are viewing items all from the same Record Type (which works especially well when filtering to a Record Type or Work Trigger).

Condensed - Simple one line view of the basic Record info. USeful when you have limited screen size like phone and tablets.

Full - Multi-line workflow display that shows the step name, simple Record data view line and due date (if any). Also supports record image thumbnails.

Stacked - This shows one line each for the top 10 record fields. This takes up the most room but gives you more detail info about each item.

Columns - If you are viewing work items all from the same Record Type then this option shows you the items in a view just like the Record Search view. The fields are all showsin column format and the Fast Lane options (if any) are accessed from a drop down menu next to the last column on the right.

Workflow Charts

The Workflow Charts tab shows the built-in workflow reporting for you. The charts can help you track your usage and progress over time.

My Searches

The My Searches tab shows your preferred saved searches. Any saved searches that you mark for display on your Home page will show here.  This allows you to build almost a dashboard view of the data you wish to see. Refer to the Searching section to see how to perform searches and how to save them to your Home page.

Once the searches are on the Home page, you can drag and drop their names to reorder them. You can remove them using the trash can icon. You can also use the Search icon to perform that same search in the full search results screen.

My Charts

The My Charts tab shows your preferred saved search charts. Any saved chart searches that you mark for display on your Home page will show here.  Refer to the Searching section to see how to perform chart searches and how to save them to your Home page.

Once the charts are on the Home page, you pin them to the top for more screen size for a chart. You can remove them using the trash can icon. You can also use the Search icon to perform that same search in the full search results screen.
